“I just want to say that the most important choice in wedding planning is the photographer!  I have had so many friends that hire these “reputable” companies with beautiful portfolios, and then the company sends some newbie to do the job and the pictures are TERRIBLE.  (I’ve had more than one friend cry after getting their pics back.)  With WTK photography, you know exactly WHO you are getting, and exactly what quality the work will be. We worked with Wes a while back to have our engagement pictures done.  He did such a great job that we asked him to do our wedding, too!  I highly recommend you get him to do both, since now his style is evident in all our pictures.  Also, you will get to know him before the wedding so that he gets an idea of who you are as a couple. His method is very relaxed and uninvasive, so he captured really natural, fun, candid photos of us.  He will give direction and ideas, but really loves input from the people he works with for engagements and weddings. I really love his portraits of people, but I’d say the phenomenal talent of Wes is MOST evident in his ability to capture the mood and the scenery of your event, too.  This is where so many wedding photographers fall short.  If I ever had a party or event of any kind, I’d get him to photograph it. I cherish all the memories he has helped us preserve!  I wish we could just take him with us on all our life adventures!”

“We hired Wes for our 1/11/11 wedding and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I figure you get married once (that’s the plan right?!? ) so I spoke with a lot of different photographers and viewed a lot of portfolios… honestly, they all started to blend. What made Wes stand out was his personality and beautiful portfolio. We met over coffee and he was open and encouraged my input to what we were looking for on our big day. Honestly, there were only a couple of shots that I haaad to have and then after that I was open. Getting married at city hall, we didn’t want every single picture indoors. Wes was right there with us, suggesting some amaaaazing sites around the city! He even had some back up suggestions if the sf weather didn’t cooperate. He was laid back without making me freak out that he was missing something. The day of our wedding there was fog (SHOCKING!) And they were calling for rain… awesome. Well, the fog stuck around, but the rain held off. Great thing was it didn’t matter when viewing the pictures! He took like 300 and it was so hard to narrow down because they were all fabulous. Black and white (my fave), color and aged… couldn’t be happier. Apparently he does engagement pics also, wish we would have known bc he is just an all around great guy and photographer. I would go with him again in a heartbeat.”

The pictures were a great mix of traditional wedding shots and outside-the-box pictures.  We’ve had more comments on our pictures than we can count…all of them from very impressed people. From what i’ve seen his pictures have only gotten better! Working with Wes was no problem. His only agenda was getting us the pictures that we wanted, which was perfect. “Look, I’m not saying I always look good….but when I do, it’s usually in a WTK picture. I don’t think I’ve ever had so many people say, “wow, you looked  great in that picture that Wes took.” I don’t know how he does it. One thing about Wes is that he puts people at ease. Half of the time that I’m at an event that he’s shooting at, I don’t even notice that he’s taking pictures. A couple of days later He’ll promptly put his shots online, and there’ll be a great picture of me that I don’t even remember being taken. Wes is a natural with the camera, and it allows people to act natural when he’s shooting around them. I couldn’t ask for anything more in an event photographer.”
