Barrett Families | Waco, TX Family Photographer
These are my good friends, the Barretts. In the middle, Tate and Tye, are the brothers and on the outside, Danielle and Katie, are their wifes. Their cute dogs are Wrigley and Tillie.
Tillie wasn’t very happy about posing at first.
But she came around.

The McNeil family were very fun to work with. They were lighthearted and had a good time. Thanks McNeils!
Violet & Jonathan’s Wedding | Waco, TX Wedding Photographer
Finally! An outdoor wedding. It would take both of my hands to count how many times I was to shoot an outdoor wedding and it ended up raining. I thought it would happen for this wedding as well. There was a 50% chance of rain a couple days before and it dissipated to 0%. But oh the wind. A steady 15-20 mph with 35 mph gusts. You can definitely tell in the photos below. Except for the ceremony. Miraculously the wind settled down for the ceremony as soon as it started. When it was over, it picked back up again. Some prayers were definitely answered. Besides all the wind, this was a really fun wedding to capture. Everyone was so happy, especially the bride and groom. I felt privileged to be at such a happy celebration. Thanks Violet and Jonathan!
I’ll lead with the engagement photos.
And now some wedding shots!

Had the pleasure of shooting these portraits at the Armstrong Browning Library at Baylor University.
Amanda + Doug’s Wedding | Waco, TX Wedding Photographer
This was such a fun wedding. Amanda and Doug were so excited to get married and it shows in the photos. I was excited to shoot this wedding as it was my first one after moving to Waco in July last year. The wedding was held at the Officer’s Club at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX.
Amanda’s Bridal Portraits | Waco, TX Wedding Photographer
My first bridal portrait session. When I realized that I had bridal portraits offered in my packages but didn’t have any in my portfolio, I knew I needed to do something about that. Amanda’s wedding was the first one I had to shoot in 2012. I offered her bridal portraits at no extra cost even though she lives in Missouri. Thankfully she was able to make it down to San Antonio, where her family lives and where the wedding will be, and make it happen. Thanks Amanda! We chose to shoot at the McNay Art Museum.

Wow, I haven’t blogged in a while. Been using my facebook business page instead to post photos of shoots. While facebook has a lot more photos, because there are albums to group them into, I still upload a photo or two to my portfolio here. I had the thought to always just use facebook to post the majority of photos and keep photos on here to a minimum to keep from overwhelming any visitors. As I’ve researched other photographers, I find they post a blog entry for most of their shoots. I thought I would follow suit. While I’m not going to go back and post photos from every shoot I’ve done in the past six months, I will upload a selection of my favorite photos from some of the shoots and in the future do a more in depth post of most of the shoots I do. This particular post focuses on families and their kids. I honestly never thought I would enjoy working with kids, especially really young ones. But I find it very fun now. There’s the typical posed shots that everyone wants and then there’s the candids. I enjoy the latter most. Chasing them around and seeing their true nature come out. I don’t even look through the lens, I just hold my camera down low and snap a ton of shots. Some are out of focus and some are right on. It gives you a perspective on the world that they experience.
